Just finished a piece titled A Steady March for 'OST Minigame Jam', hosted on itch.io.
We had a week to compose a piece based on the theme 'Hero's Journey', which I chose to reflect with a loose mirror form. There was the optional challenge of using the whole tone scale for a section of the piece, which is why the middle 8 is on the stranger side of things, but I thought it suited a hero's conflict quite well.

I was aiming for an odd mix of the uplifting electronica of Kiasmos, the cute quirk of The Electones, and the weird whole tone part feels reminiscent of the Earthbound soundtrack... I'll whack up a video of it here after the long weekend, but you can find it over on YouTube or my itch.io page now if you're keen!

Thanks to Cryptid for hosting, and I'm keen for next years one!

Another gentle piece, matching Signal Appearance's title of 'Chill Night'. The artwork is for their game upcoming game The M/S Cornelia II Incident.

This simple melody came out quite quickly on the guitar, and I captured a raw performance of it (hence the close, lofi sound). Why do triple time signatures suit the ocean so well?
