I've created 8 adaptive tracks, in a retro-futurism aesthetic.
Each track consists of several layers allowing game devs to create dynamic audio that responds to different game states.
These were a tonne of fun to make, and creating the collage was fun too!

Christopher Larkin's work for Hollow Knight is abs

Christopher Larkin's work for Hollow Knight is absolutely incredible. The music was a huge part of the experience for me, and has left a significant mark on me.

This is my transcription of his piece Queen's Gardens.

I wrote this out by hand before inputting it into Dorico for playback. As a learning task I used Dorico's playback engine along with Spitfire's BBCSO for the audio. It created a bit more friction than if I had used a DAW, but was a good learning experience.

I first heard Elijah Fox playing with Yussef Dayes at the Forum earlier this year. I was in awe of his skill and very tasty use of synth sounds. Afterwards I listened to a few of his solo albums, and loved the vignettes he created in Wyoming, and City in the Sky. Transcribing Heathrow (Leaving) was a challenge for me - the dense layers made it hard to pick out indivdual lines, and I certainly didn't capture all the details. A lovely way to start a sunny morning
